Journalists have voted the 2016 Mazda MX-5 as the star of the show during the current Miami auto show.

Forbes has reported that the new car is the "perfect car." A Forbes correspondent describes the car as diminutive, and says that its purity makes it perfect. The car offers a simple theme, which is the pleasure of driving. It has satisfied car enthusiasts' taste for driving since its original version was released in 1989. Unlike other cars, which are more focused on speed, comfort or technological advancements, MX-5 is focused on making driving fun.

An article from CNET also reported that MX-5 is a light car, ranging from 2,332 to 2,381 pounds. Since being light isn't really good enough, Mazda brought in new MX-5 concepts. First is the MX-5 Spyder, which has a convertible top for an open-air cruising experience. It also has light 17-inch Yokohama wheels that curb the car's weight to 2,301 pounds. It also has leather seats. This may not help with the weight, but it gives the car incredible vintage look. Meanwhile, the MX-5 Speedster weight 2,080 pounds with its 16-inch Ray wheels and carbon-fiber seats.

According to Auto Express, the new MX-5 has agile chassis and punchy engine that offers driving experience that almost pass for hardcore track models. It is definitely an open-top sports car that people can drive daily. Perhaps one of MX-5's major rival is Toyota's GT 86, which has features that are reminiscent to the rear-drive 2000 GT back in the 1960s. However, according to Auto Express, Mazda's MX-5 is better than Toyota's in many ways.

"That's exceeding our expectations," MX-5 vehicle line manager Rod McLaughlin said. "The new styling is being well received. We wanted to get away from the 'cute little car' impression."

The fourth generation MX-5 was released two months ago, selling for $30,000.
