Japanese beauty company buys fourth plant

Nippon Shikizai Inc., a makeup, cosmetics, and skin care producer from Japan, announced its plans to invest in a new plant in the country to be finalized early next year. The Japanese group owns three plants in the cosmetics crazy country, and a single factory in France.

The company employs over 500 people, posting a turnover of more than Eur60 million. Kouji Okumura, Nippon Shikizai Inc.'s president and chief executive officer,  described his company as an "innovative cosmetic providers of research, development and product manufacturing technology." The beauty products manufacturer has 180 clients across the globe, including big names in the cosmetics industry both in Japan and abroad.

The company bought French factory Thepenier Pharma Industry in 2000.

Talking about the company's new investment facility, Kouji Okumura said "The construction of the new production unit will be soon completed, to start operations by February 2014. It will allow us to increase our filling capacity and, if all goes according to the investment plan, we will also install some production equipment."
