Ugg new classic slim boots collection landed in 'Oprah's favourite things' list

UGG has been marked as one of the leading brands to the shoe fashion market. Recently, it has come up with another of the upgraded idea, which is strongly anticipated to 'win' winters this year.

According to PrNewswire, heart-winning Italian-made Classic LuxeTM Collection that launched in August of 9th along with its ancestral fashion items was labeled top-graded on Oprah's favorite things. After the launch of 9th consecutive successful fashion footwear, UGG® (a division of Deckers Brands NYSE: DECK) has launched its next creation of its Classic Boot - the Classic SlimTM Collection by Kristin style.

"We're honored to celebrate the launch of our new UGG Slim Classic Collection with the news Oprah has made the Kristin boot one of her favorite things for 2015," said UGG® Global Marketing Director Nicks Ericsson. "Being a part of Oprah's list is a testament to the quality, craftsmanship and premium materials that make wearing UGG such a uniquely satisfying experience for our consumers.

According to Footwear news, the sleeker twin-face sheepskin silhouette, resembling regular UGG boots has been pre-treated for water-repellency and is available in two heel heights, a flat and a wedge, costing $160 and $260 respectively. The series of UGG classic slim also includes four shaft heights, including the 12½-inch Kara, the 9-inch Amie, the 9-inch Michelle, the 5½-inch Kristin, the 5½-inch Cory and the 3¾-inch lace up Bethany.

According to Leah Larson, VP and creative director for Ugg, "Driven by insights we've uncovered from our customers, I can confidently say that our new Classic Slim Collection is the next evolution of the Ugg class our customers have been waiting for. We know our customers will always have a special place for their original Classic boots, but they are ready for something fresh that can transition into more everyday wear."

UGG classic slim is strongly labeled as all-place footwear, as reported by Bloomberg. It can be a stylish wear on casual outings as well as can be worn confidently to work.

UGG previous category of footwear, Ugg classic has suffered a drastic decrease of its market value. According to Bloomberg, Deckers blamed the slow process of store traffic and mild weather for the low-graph of its demand.

However, last week, Powers admitted on a conference call that the brand devoted itself to manufacture more of a 'rugged-weather' footwear and casual shoes than going for more creative and comfortable traditional 'sheepskin-style' boots. 

"Five years ago, traditional Ugg boots made up about 65 percent of the brand's total business," said Powers. "These days, that number is down to 25 percent."

Powers called Ugg Slim the "biggest product launch since the debut of the Ugg Classic boot."

According to Powers, Ugg brand has previously worked on Ugg Classic, using a variety of materials or treatments but this time, the company has actually changed its shape, which is expected to win the 'winter heart'.

The new Kristen style Classic SlimTM Collection can be purchased today online on, but in UGG® concept stores worldwide and at select retailers, the sale is starting on November 11th.
