The story on Matt Murdock's past life will be given focus on the second season of "Daredevil" which is slated to air on April 15, 2016. The series, which will have Elektra and The Punisher as new villains, will also give viewers a flashback on Matt's college life since the former is rumored to be Matt's past lover. Meanwhile, the series will have possible crossover episodes with "Jessica Jones", a new series airing next month.

Elektra will be introduced in "Daredevil" season 2 along with the ruthless vigilante, Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher. With Elektra's involvement in Matt's life, according to Yibada, the ninja organization, The Hand is not far behind as several rumors speculated that they are going Hell's Kitchen. Their rival organization known as The Chaste will also be making an appearance. Speculations of both organizations' appearance came after Matt fought a red ninja named Nobu in season one, while Stick talked with a Chaste member named Stone.

Apart from that, viewers will also witness the past relationship between Elektra and Matt. Her appearance will possibly look back to the college life of Matt through flashback scenes. Based on the comic books version, according to Realty Today, Elektra broke up with Matt and left NYC after her father got killed, and worked as an assassin under The Hand. Their past relationship might have an effect on Elektra's role in Hell's Kitchen as it is possible she will later become a friend rather than a foe.

Meanwhile, a report from Gospel Herald indicates a possible crossover with new series Jessica Jones. Jessica is a superhero who has abandoned the mask and is being stalked by Kilgrave, a powerful mind controller. Jessica is apparently dating another superhero named Luke Cage who will have his own series in 2016. Rumors circulate that Jessica will be appearing together with Daredevil.

Marvel fans is again promised with a darker and action-packed "Daredevil" series once the second season begins in 2016. The series will still air on Netflix.
