OnePlus is expected to launch another smartphone named as OnePlus X. This handset, which will be made available in US this month, is a budget smartphone priced at $250 but is armed with high-rated specs and features.

According to The Verge, the OnePlus X is like a $500 5-inch phone that only costs only $249. This handset is armed with aesthetic quality that smartphone users might expect from an established tech brand, but it's actually made by a Chinese startup which enetered the industry less than two years ago. This handset also features a shameless tribute to the design of older iPhones that interested buyers can only purchase with an invitation.

Moreover, TechnoBuffalo cited the features that OnePlus X carries. This handset by OnePlus sports some impressive specs, especially for the price. With just $250, consumers of this handset would get a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display that is engineered with Snapdragon 801 processor and packed with 3GB of RAM.  OnePlus X is running on OxygenOS based on Android 5.1.1 and has a 16 GB of expandable storage. Powered by a 2,525 mAh capacity battery, it houses a 13-megapixel camera, and a wonderful Alert Slider that was first introduced in the OnePlus 2.

As for the device's availability, Small Business Trends stated on its article that the OnePlus X will be available in two versions. The first one will be a limited-edition Ceramic variant and the other is an Onyx variant. Both versions are very similar in specifications but have a big difference when it comes with the design and the materials used to construct them. In addition, the company stated that the Ceramic version takes up to 25 days to manufacture which is possibly the reason why it will be a limited edition.

OnePlus' upcoming smartphone is already available in Europe while US customers still have to wait until November 19. The new device is puchasable through the company's invite-only purchasing system. After a month of invites, the company will then open up the store to anyone who wants to have the smartphones in their hands.

Based on the specifications and features, initial reviews already sees OnePlus X as high-rated smartphone that has potential in the tech arena. This handset is now expected to be a great hit, considering its competitive specs and cheap price.
