Apple iPad Pro vs. Microsoft Surface Pro 4: 2 New Laplet Devices Having a Heavyweight Match

When Apple has unveiled its new iPad Pro, many have noticed that it resembles Microsoft's Surface Pro 4. These two devices that can be used as a laptop and tablet seemed to be having an intense competition.

PC Mag reports that the Apple iPad Pro measures 8.68 by 12 by 0.27 inches (HWD) to the Surface Pro 4's 7.93 by 11.5 by 0.33 inches. The iPad Pro comes marginally taller and thinner, but since  the Surface Pro 4 features a built-in USB 3.0 port, it is predicted to have additional thickness. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 operates a full Windows 10 operating system, while an iOS 9 for the iPad Pro.

The new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes in 12.3-inch touch display having 2,736-by-1,824 resolution with 267 pixels per inch (ppi), and featuring Microsoft's latest PixelSense technology, that is very bright with ridiculous colors. The iPad Pro, on the other hand, features a 12.9-inch Retina display with an identical impressive 2,732-by-2,048 resolution with 264ppi.

Both the iPad Pro and surface Pro 4 feature styli and keyboards. The iPad Pro's stylus and Pencil have the ability to adapt to how much pressure a user  put on it while the stylus and Surface Pen of Surface Pro 4 has 1,024 touch levels, an eraser on the end as well as switchable tips.  

The surface pen of Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 is contained within with the system while the Apple Pencil is an add-on.  A user can have a Type Cover with trackpad and a fingerprint sensor support at worth $129 for the Surface Pro 4. In addition, the Surface Pro 4 features a glass trackpad and a mouse, that is significantly a big plus for several users, Neuro Gadget noted.

When it comes to the Apple Pencil, a user may purchase it at $99, but the Surface Pen will be given straight out of the box, as far as color picks. The iPad pro is available in Gray, Silver or Gold while the Surface Pro 4 only comes in a Silver hue.

A report from Tech Spot states that a user can choose hardware for the Surface Pro 4, the device is being offered with Intel Core M3, Core i5, or Core i7 processor options, along with 4GB in the base model, up to 16GB of RAM.  An A9X processor, clocked around 2.25GHz is on the other hand is being used in the Apple's iPad Pro and backed up by a 4GB of RAM.

For pricing concern, the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 4 can be purchased at $899 (tablet and pen) and at $1,029 if with keyboard.  On the other hand, the Apple iPad Pro comes available at $799 (tablet only) and at $1,067 if this comes with a pencil and keyboard.
