Now is the perfect time to invest in Sindh's coal power generation, water resources, and other sectors, urged Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah. He said that the region's vast amount of natural resources should be exploited by foreign and local investors.

The message was said by Qaim during the inauguration of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry's annual gathering, themed "My Karacki, Oasis of Harmony Exhibition 2013."

He mentioned countries like Australia and the United Kingdom have already expressed their interest in investing towards the coal power generation industry through joint ventures in the province. He said that the current law and order situation of Sindh are being strengthened, and that efforts are underway to regulate businesses. The minister noted that they are providing a conducive investment atmosphere in the province.

The country has been struggling with the law and order situation, which causes quite a bit of a stir in the investment world.

"We strongly believe immediate economic reforms are crucial to uplift the economy. To this end both federal and provincial governments have to create business-friendly and enabling environment for businesses," he summed.
