A Utah-based company called Domo Inc. is hoping to attract more talent and to address the needs of their employees by providing a stipend for their expectant mothers to dress professionally and comfortably while carrying a baby.

According to Fortune, the benefit was finalized a year ago after the assistant to Domo CEO's founder Josh James became pregnant.

The goal was to help expectant mothers deal with the challenges of dressing professionally, which a lot of employees would rather not spend a large sum on. James was likely aware that this was the case but hoped to alleviate the burden through a $1,000 bonus for new parents, and gift cards amounting to $2,000.

The gift certificates can be used to purchase items from Asos, Nordstrom, and A Pea In the Pod.

Domo's parental leave package is generous for a start-up company that's not even five years old, giving new moms a month of leave with full pay and an additional six weeks of leave while receiving 66% of pay.

For expectant dads, they can expect to receive two weeks leave at full pay.

So far, about five female employees have been able to take advantage of the clothing benefits and stipend, but we can expect that Domo will be attracting more talent as the company does offer a very "sweet" deal for new parents.

Aside from Domo and NetFlix, there are also other companies that recognize the need for American families to receive generous parental leave benefits.

Entrepreneur cites Adobe, Twitter, Google, and Johnson & Johnson as among the top five, with NetFlix bagging first place with their "unlimited" paid leave policy that encourages new moms and dads to take "as much time as they want" on leave.
