Javelin Ventures backs Engrade

Data, tools, and curriculum unifier services provider Engrade stated on Wednesday that it secured a total of US$5 million in its most recent Series B fundraiser. The lead investors was Javelin Venture Partners. Other participants in the round were Samsung Venture Investments Corporation, Rethink Education, Kapor Capital, Ed-Mentor, and Expansion Capital.

Engrade is a cloud based platform and utilities company that is aimed towared instructors, school teachers and administrators.

Engrade's strategy to work intimately with district schools and solve the concurrent issue of disparate systems helped the company to grow immensely within the past years. The company noted that "a wide array of sources maximizes the learning potential of students."

New cloud based technology is expected to gain in demand now that the American education system is expected to be overhauled.

Lead investor Javenlin Venture spokesperson Jed Katz said, "It is time for schools and districts to have a true platform, not a jumbled collection of tools that keep vital data locked up in separate silos."
