The Chinese tech firm behind the device brand Xiaomi is looking to enter the US Market after building a strong presence in the Asian market and now deciding to cross oceans to new territories.

Bin Lin, President of Xiaomi, announced at the WSJD Live global technology conference that the company is looking to sell the Xiaomi Note and the Xiaomi Note Pro in the United states according to International Business Times.

Xiaomi released its Mi Note and Mi Note Pro devices earlier this year, devices that were considered as a move by the company to escape from the image of being an "Apple Copycat" after releasing phones that sported specs and designs that matched the iPhone in many ways.

Founded in 2010 by eight partners, Xiaomi introduced it's first smartphone to the general public in August 2011. In December 2014, Xiaomi became the world's most valuable technology start-up after it received $1.1 billion funding from investors.

In other news on Xiaomi, the Chinese tech behemoth as "an Internet company with the potential to cross swords with titans such as Alibaba" as Gadgets 360 states.
