Motorola's new phones said to have 'shatterproof' display, 2-day battery life

Motorola, the second largest wireless carrier in the US, is expected to release new phones that have advanced features including a "shatterproof" display and a 2-day battery life.

In a report by Mashable, Verizon is reportedly the exclusive carrier of the Droid Maxx 2, which is basically the rebadged version of Moto X Play. It will have a battery life that will last for two days. The brand will also be launching the Droid Turbo 2, which is said to have a "shatterproof" display.

According to Droid Life, the blog site that focuses on anything Android and always provides accurate reports on unreleased devices, Motorolla and Verizon will announce the new phones on October 27 in an event in New York City. Sources said that the "shatterproof screen" is the major selling point of Motorola's new DROID flagship. There are even reports that Verizon may offer a promo where users can trade their phone for up to $300 towards the new Turbo 2. This is said to be in the form of credit or gift card.

The IUSB Preface reported that the Turbo 2, which was originally teased as Moto-X-Force, is said to have the Snapdragon 810 chipset, a 3GB of RAM, 32 GB, and 64 GB internal storage option. It is also said to have a 3,760mAh battery. There are also reports that the phone will have a 21-megapixel camera in the back and a 5-megapixel shooter in its front camera. Mashable speculates that the Droid Maxx 2 may have a 5.5-inch full HD display and a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution.

The phone is also said to have swappable back covers that comes in various colors. Users can also customize the Turbo 2 through Moto Maker, its online configuration. Leather and ballistic nylon are some of its customizable options.
