US-based online writing and reading system Medium by Evan Williams is considering raising $20 million from venture capitalists after basically thriving on angel investments, according to circulating rumors.

Santa Clara, California-based Palo Alto Networks has acquired Morta Security, a Silicon Valley-based cyber security firm that has been in stealth mode since last year, for an undisclosed amount.
Trifacta, a San Francisco-based startup focused on making platforms for data analysis, raised USD12 million in new funding in an investment round led by Greylock Partners and Accel Partners.
A study done by CB Insights revealed that only 14% of venture capital firms supported unicorns since 2004. Unicorns refer to young startup firms that have made USD 1 billion exits.
Sprig recently closed its USD1.2 million seed funding round for the launching of its unique food delivery business.
After seven months since its launch, Sold announced it had been purchased by Dropbox for USD1.2 million.
