Simon Cowell heated up with an opinion about One Direction's taking a year off from total fame. The X Factor judge and the boss of One Direction said that them taking a break could be a healthy thing. And that he is positive that this would turn out fine.

Fans can be really sad about the temporary split of the boy group but Simon Cowell emphasized that One Direction really needs to have this year off because of their workload, E Online shared. Simon Cowell also believes that the group members are smart enough to know that this could be really good for them despite that fans' reaction about them getting idle for a little while.

The X Factor judge also said that One Direction has enough hits now and they afford to take some time off and do other stuff they want to, Billboard reported. The temporary break up will take place next year after the band finishes promoting their fifth album that is due by the end of the year.

Simon Cowell's involvement with One Direction is huge. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after being able to make it to top 3 on the UK's talent show, The X Factor, in year 2010.

Taking on few months back, the hint of the group split has been confirmed possible by Simon Cowell himself. And this break up seems to be unstoppable for One Direction and what they are really after pursuing while on a break, Unreality TV UK shared. Though the group promised that a lot of things will happen before they finally take on a break. This just means that they don't want to leave the fans hanging.

The fans maybe sad about the said split but Simon Cowell really believes that this is definitely a good and positive thing.
