Many knew that 'Wayward Pines' season 1 premiere with not so much attraction. However, it progressed and 'Wayward' Season 1 ended terrific. The ratings may not be that high but judging from other television that have started, it could possibly secure a second round.

In the said report, a fan named 'Rosalyn of Roses' has commented that 'Wayward Pines' is an awesome series. The user also thought that the reason why the show has failed to capture more audiences because they lack in promotion. 'Rosalyn of Roses' commented that "If only wayward pines were advertised through every possible media, channel, vine and billboard, clearly the whole world would have became hooked on this story!"

If 'Wayward Pines' season 2 renewal could happen someday, the storyline will possibly focus on Ben Burke as reported by The Christian Post. During the season 1 finale, Ethan Burke, David Pilcher and Ms. Fisher were all dead. Ethan's son, Ben suffered a head injury and awoke three years later to learn that the "First Generation" of Academy students placed the adults in suspension and now control Wayward Pines. It will see if Ben follows his father's footsteps or make his own way.

Additionally, numerous reports said that 'Wayward Pines' executive producer M. Night Shyamalan was reportedly in talks with author Blake Crouch for the possibility of the second season. However, the decision is not yet final.
