3D CAD Render Image Of iPad Mini 4 Confirms Rumors That It Will Be 6.1mm Thick

Apple's yet to be released iPad Mini 4 will rock a 6.1 mm thick body, based on a 3D CAD rendered leaked images. The rumor was released a couple of weeks ago and with this images, the rumor were once and for all clarified.

According to a report by Phone Arena, a CAD generated 3D image of the iPad Mini 4 was leaked yesterday by French Tech blog and it looks more beefy than the first rumors that the newest Apple tablet will be as thin as the iPad Air 2.

Aside from the leaked images, the iPad Mini 4 was also rumored to have Apple's latest and improved chipset, the A9. The processor promised to bring superb performance and an improved battery life, Tech Crunch claimed.

Last year's iPad Mini 3 was a total disappointed due to its very limited update from its older brother, which includes the fingerprint scanner and Apple Pay support. Aside from these two updates, there were no additional features or specifications, IB Times cited.

The report also confirmed that the iPad Mini 4 will take its cue, not unlike the iPad Mini3, from the iPad Air 2, which is a more promising device than the latter.

Since the iPad Mini 4 will take be patterned from the iPad Air 2, it is expected for the device to be packed with an improved feature of the iPad Air 2 like the split screen capability, which allows the user to access two apps at the same time.

In addition, aside from the A9 chipset, it is also expected for the Mini 4 to rock a RAM that's higher than Air 2's 2GB. With regard to the iPad Mini 4's release, Tech Crunch predicted that based on the previous Apple releases and rumors, that the tablet will be released officially on September 9th.

The CAD render image of the yet to be released iPad Mini 4 only strengthen the rumor that Apple is serious to bring back the glory days of its tablet division. However, it will also pit against the iPhone 6s and it is hard to tell if this move is good for both devices.
