Kong: Skull Island March 2017 release date official; Brie Larson confirmed on board with lead actor Tom Hiddleston

The way to King Kong's home will soon be explore in the upcoming Kong: Skull Island. 21 Jump Street actress, Brie Larson is officially on board, whole rumor mill suggest that Samuel L. Jackson, and many others are in talks to join the cast.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Brie Larson recently posted photo on her Twitter account showing the big man of Skull Island welcoming her into his home. Larson recently confirmed her involvement with the film in a photo which shows a letter from King Kong saying, "Brie, welcome to the jungle. Love, King Kong," Larson is now set to star alongside Tom Hiddleston, and Corey Hawkings, although her character is yet to be disclosed.

Although the list of cast members for the movie is slowly being filled in, casting is currently in the work in Legendary for the upcoming movie. According to Deadline, Samuel L. Jackson is currently in early talks to join the prequel.

It has not been confirmed yet, but rumors suggest that Jackson is being considered to fill in the character that was left by JK Simmons. Aside from Jackson, Tom Wilkinson is also reportedly on the running for the role.

Aside from them, John C. Reilly is also rumored to being considered to play the role vacated by Michael Keaton. According to /Film, there are also rumors suggesting that Legendary might also be eyeing on Russell Crowe  to play one of the characters left by either Keaton.

The upcoming film is said to take the audience deeper into the mysterious and dangerous  home of King Kong. It is also said to serve  as a prequel to the previous King Kong movies.

Kong: Skull Island will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts from the screenplay by Max Borenstein, John Gatins, and Dan Gilroy. It is set to be produced by Mary Parent, Thomas Tull, and Jon Jashni. Look for it in theaters in March 10, 2017.
