Now that Emma Swan is threading the path of darkness, Regina may be the new Savior when "Once Upon A Time" returns this September. The mission to rescue the former Savior won't be easy as Emma will be getting lessons from none other than Rumple himself.

Lana Parrilla recently chatted with Buddy TV where she spilled some juicy details about the development of her character in the upcoming season of "Once Upon A Time." Parrilla teased that Regina could assume Emma's role as the Savior now that she is the Dark One.

"I think Regina's going to become the savior this year and the hero," is the actress' clear forecast. However, she admits that her character is very much worried for Emma's fate as the new host of darkness.

"We don't know what's going to happen, and Regina is very experienced when it comes to sort of crossing over into the dark side and committing evil acts," that's why she knows that Emma's dark journey on season 5 will not be easy. Ultimately, Regina is worried for everyone around Emma because once darkness fills her completely, it might be hard to see the light again.

And there's really a good reason to worry for Jennifer Morrison's character since her powers as the Dark Swan will be harnessed by the former Dark One himself: Rumplestiltskin. Robert Carlyle's character will reportedly teach Emma dark lessons according to an exclusive report by Entertainment Weekly, accompanied by a first look photo from season 5.

"If you're going to be the Dark One, gotta learn from the best," executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis tease.

However, Colin O'Donoghue, Captain Hook in the series, said that his character will not easily give up on Emma when the ABC fantasy drama returns, IGN reported. Hook will desperately try to bring Emma back as his love for her never diminished despite the events during last season's finale. O'Donoghue even compared Hook's feelings for Emma to how Belle feels for Rumple when he is still the Dark One.

"Once Upon A Time" will return for its fifth season with Regina possibly assuming the role as Savior while Emma fights her way back to the light. But will she succeed if Rumple offers a hand to help her hone her new powers?
