‘Rookie Blue’ season 7 renewal likely to happen; New showrunner Sherry White steps in with big plans

There are no words from Global TV Canada about the 'Rookie Blue' season 7 renewal. But latest reports suggest that it is likely to happen, considering that there is a upcoming new showrunner. Sherry White, who is about to replace the outgoing executive producer Tassie Cameron, has big plans for the seventh installment, if there is any.

'Rookie Blue' season 6 has already ended in Canada last Wednesday. In the US, ABC is about to air its 7th episode.

For the viewers in the US, 'Rookie Blue' season 6 episode 7 "Best Man" airs August 6 will see Andy and Sam in shock mode after they learned that Oliver is the prime suspect in the 15 Division evidence room bombing. As they try to clear his name, an oblivious Oliver has his hands full with a sensitive missing child case that reaffirms his commitment as a police officer whether he's on or off-duty.

For the viewers of Canada and America, 'Rookie Blue' season 6 may not be the last of the series. According to Movie News Guide, the show still has more stories to tell although the season 6 finale feels like the end. But fans knew that Global did not call the season 6 as the series finale. So, there is a big chance it could continue.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the outgoing executive producer Tassie Cameron said that the new showrunner Sherry White has big plans for 'Rookie Blue' season 7, if it's renewed by the Global TV Canada. Cameron revealed that she already read the script and details for the next season, and teased that there will the show will add new characters to the current cast members.

Rookie Blue stars Peregrym, Bass, Gregory Smith, Charlotte Sullivan, Travis Milne, Peter Mooney, Priscilla Faia, Enuka Okuma, and Matt Gordon.
