"The Whispers" will return next week with episode 10 titled, "Darkest Fears," where everyone will decide to trap and kill Drill once and for all. However, this plan must succeed no matter what otherwise, everyone will be put in danger.

More danger is coming in Claire, Wes, Sean, and the others' way as ABC's thriller drama nears its first season finale.

According to The Futon Critic, the next episode of "The Whispers" will see the gang come up with a plan to trap Drill and drain away its energy to put an end to his evil ways. Everyone agrees with this plan and knows that if the plan fails, Drill can seek for vengeance, putting them all at risk.

"Darkest Fears" follows last episode of the Lily Rabe-starred series titled, "Broken Child," where Thomas, the man who encountered Drill when he was still a boy, ended up in a hospital after being shot by Lena, reports Channel Guide Mag. While Sean stays with him, Claire, Lena, and Wes heads back to Thomas' house to look for more clues about Drill.

In his house they found a picture of Thomas at the institution where he stayed for a decade. The three visited the facility to look for Thomas' room. Lena met a rabbi who told her that she doesn't need to light all the candles to see her way out of the darkness. Lena found out that the rabbi knew Thomas since that statement was written on Thomas' picture.

Claire and Wes on the other hand discovered a picture behind the wallpaper on Thomas' old room. The rabbi explained that the image is a dybbuk, an evil spirit that claims a soul in Jewish mythology. This lead them into conclusion that Thomas didn't kill his brother. It was Drill who did it after taking Elliot as a host.

Now, if Thomas dies, his death could be the key for killing Drill. Claire and Sean met him in episode 8 of the ABC series and found out that Drill has been in existence way back in the '80s, wrote Hypable.

Episode 10 of "The Whispers" will see the gang decide to trap and kill Drill. However, if their plan fails, they have to be ready for the consequences. "Darkest Fears" airs August 10 on ABC.
