"Grimm" is about to enter its fifths season with new storylines while also revisiting some elements from the previous seasons. David Giuntoli's Nick Burkhardt returns in the NBC hit series with a huge emotional baggage brought by the events during last season's finale.

The new season of the supernatural series will see the aftermath of Juliette's death, which will definitely put Nick in a very dark place. During the "Grimm"'s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the cast hinted that season 5 will be more emotional especially for Nick, who just lost his girlfriend and mother last season, writes Vine Report.

"For Nick, it's going to be tough. We're going to have to pull him up and help him out, and I'm glad to be part of that team for once," Reggie Lee, Sergeant Wu in the series, said.

Last season's ultimate episode saw Trubel, played by Jacqueline Toboni, shot Bitsie Tulloch's character in order to save Nick. Online speculations claim that what Trubel did might cause drift between her and Nick more so that he will be going through a lot next season.

Aside from the drama and writers of the hit NBC series are reportedly cooking up new storylines with allusion to the previous seasons of the show, reports Crossmap.

"There's a whole new storyline and a new world about to happen, but then we also revisit Season 1 stuff, so I think the fans will be blown away, but also satisfied," says Bree Turner, who plays Rosalee Calvert in the series.

Sasha Roiz , Nick's superior Sean Renard and a Zauberbiest in the series, supported Turner's hint as she adds, "Maybe it's time to get kind of get back to Season 1 where people had their own agendas, and often times that meant that we will come into conflict with one another."

Will the new storyline involve a possible relationship between Nick and Claire Coffee's Adalind? Or will their unborn child causes more conflict in the show?

Fans of NBC's supernatural cop drama have so many things to look forward to for its upcoming season 5. Nick will be facing an emotional season as new storylines and conflicts develop.
