The Viking Seasons 4 will show Ragnar Lothbrok encountering King Ecbert and may form a possible alliance in this season. When Ragnar continues his travels with his Viking brothers, his obsession with death makes him search for it all the more.

This upcoming Season 4 will show Ragnar Lothbrok having a unique relationship that fans will surely be curious about. Although it is unclear whether to whom or how it will come about.

IB Times reports that there were a lot of bits and pieces given to those that attended the San Diego Comic Con 2015 for the "Vikings Season 4." Micheal Hirst, the creator of the Vikings Series mentioned that an alliance could form between King Ecbert of Wessex, played by Linus Roache, and Ragnar Lothbrok. Hirst adds that the both parties acknowledge that they have a lot in common and will have the opportunity to talk about it.

Although it may seem that Ragnar recovers in Vikings Season 4 as Season 3 finale showed his near death experience. Because of this and his issues with trust, Ragnar becomes fascinated by death itself and is not at all afraid to die. As Master Herald states in their interview with Travis Fimmel. Ragnar was considered as a direct descendant of Odin, the God of war and warriors.  Odin also tried hanging himself just to feel what it was like to feel death. This holds up to the concept of dying as part of their lives for the characters in "Vikings"

MNR Daily points out the love side of the Vikings Season 4 TV series. As Fimmel suggest that Ragnar Lothbrok will probably find a love interest. Fimmel puts it as "a very talented actress" whom they have been working with a lot lately. He personally thinks that the relationship would surely become a unique one.

The Vikings Season 4 to be aired in 2016 will play a lot on the fascination for death by Ragnar Lothbrok as he searches the feeling of it and the afterlife. During the process an alliances may be possible between Lothrbok and King Ecbert as they discover their commonalities in life. A new character will emerge as Lothbrok's new love interest.
