Giant Killer OnePlus Lauched 2016 OnePlus 2 Smartphone, Will Hit Market In August 11

OnePlus mobile was last year's breakaway star when the OnePlus One mobile competed with the market leaders Samsung and Apple. OnePlus is again ready to surprise the market with the release of their OnePlus 2 phone, which is expected by the industry to repeat what it did in 2014.

Taking its cue from its older brother, the OnePlus 2 will once again use the tried and tested formula that made the OnePlus One a major breakaway in last year's smartphone race, the combination of excellent specs and very affordable price. Tech website, Android Authority, has cited some facts why owning an OnePlus 2 phone over the other brand is the best decision.

First, the 5.5-inch Full HD display, which a density of 401 pixels per inch, OnePlus claimed that this technology is more brighter and clearer than the leading smartphones such as Samsung and Apple. Second, the phone's Android 5.1 Lollipop based operating system the OxygenOS, 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 810 processor, and 13MP camera with laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, 1.3µm pixel size and Optical Image Stabilisation. Lastly of course is its affordability, the OnePlus is only priced at $389 that is way cheaper than the market leaders which is at $550 apiece.

The OnePlus 2 will also feature the latest technology in charging and data transfer the USB Type-C. The OnePlus 2 phone, according to their website, will also feature an interchangeable phone covers that is very easy and quick to do. The phone will also showcase a very light but resilient aluminum and magnesium frame with a stainless steel accents to add drama to the phones sleek design.

Dubbed as the 2016 flagship killer, the OnePlus 2 will be officially released on August 11 in the US, UK, Europe and India, TechRadar said.  Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore will have their turn towards the end of the year. The OnePlus 2 will also use the company's invite system and friend referral system like what they did to OnePlus One last year.

The marketing and strategy of OnePlus is definitely made the OnePlus One phone very successful last year, considering how strong Apple and Samsung performed that year. Aside from its affordability and excellent features, the exclusivity of the phone was its major draw. This year, they are again banking on their formula; let us see how well it will go when Apple and Samsung will release their flagship smartphones this year.
