"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is speculated to feature the deadly Kryptonian monster, Doomsday, as its main villain. Joker is also rumored to make an appearance in the upcoming film through Bruce Wayne's flashback of Robin's death. DC's superhero movie is scheduled to premiere on March 2016.  

Just because the title says it is a clash between the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight, does not mean "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will no longer feature a super villain. Some might directly point Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and General Zod who were already seen on the trailer, but the internet rumor mill suggests otherwise. Tech Times predicts that Doomsday will be the main villain that will bring all the supers together in the upcoming film.

In the trailer, Batman (Ben Affleck) was seen attacked by an enormous blast of light while he was standing at the top of a building. Though the video made it seem like Superman (Henry Cavill) was the one responsible, the outlet claims that the size of the flash does not fit the red-caped super's blast width. Given the nature of Superman, he never attacks anyone with the motive of harming them so it makes sense that it could have been someone else, something bigger -possibly Doomsday.

Doomsday is known to be a deadly Kryptonian creature that also has a laser beam similar to Superman's.  According to Movie News Guide, the super villain might have been created with the use of another Kryptonian DNA. It was noted that General Zod's body was taken by Lex and his men for a yet to be determined reason. If reports are to be believed, Gen. Zod's DNA serves as the origin of the powerful and dangerous creature.

While Doomsday could possibly take the spotlight in the film, Batman's traditional yet iconic enemy, the Joker, is still expected to be making an appearance in the movie. One of the notable shots in the latest "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer features Bruce Wayne staring at Robin's suit that has been defaced with words "HAHAHAHA Joke's On You, Batman!". Cinema Blend suggests that this scene may lead to a flashback of Robin's gruesome death in the hands of the so-called Clown Prince of Crime.

Nothing is certain but the said theories do fit well in some places. This can only be confirmed when "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits the big screen March 23, next year.
