Kickass Torrent (KAT) is now unsearchable on Google Search Results after the world's famous search engine removes the world's famous BitTorrent indexing site from its search pages.

According to the Kickass team, they have been receiving penalties from Google before but speculations surfaced online that this time, the search engine giant ultimately penalized KAT for not doing any search engine optimization (SEO), reports Techworm.

"It's already about five or six months since we started to experience some kind of penalty from Google. The issue is that we were not performing any SEO activities at all," Kickass Torrent says.

Techworm also noted that the reason for the penalization could be the activation of Google Safe Browsing.

Since August 2014, Google have been targeting websites that contain unsolicited software or malware and just recently, the Google Safe Browsing started blocking websites that do not follow advertising guidelines.

Safe Browsing will now push ad agencies that do not examine softwares carefully to vet every one of them so as not to put user's browsing experience at risk.

Previously, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) have also requested KAT to be removed from the search pages of Google with a precision takedown. MPAA issued Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notices aimed at home pages of websites that seem to be helping copyright abuse, reports BestVPN.

Due to the said removal of KAT from the Google Search Results, only unknown websites appear on the top results of Google.  KAT says they find it unfortunate that after being kicked out from the search pages, Google leads their millions of visitors to other unofficial sites.

However, users can still search for the official domain of KAT at DuckDuckGo, an alternative search engine.

Google Search Result got rid of Kickass Torrent just recently for allegedly not performing SEO activities. This is not the first time that the famous torrent site faced the same penalty, but not all search engines followed Google's steps. Right now, torrent users can find the official KAT site at DuckDuckGo.
