According to eonline.com, show runner Chip Johannessen revealed to them that the show will pick up a few years after the last episodes of season 4. Fans should expect that circumstances surrounding the characters will be extremely different in the latest season, he added.

Latinpost.com reported that season 5 will be two and a half years after the events in season 4, and the story will be set in Berlin. There will be drastic changes for the lead character Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes. In the fifth season, she is no longer with the CIA, and fans know that she is now a mother. One of the most interesting storylines in the show is Carrie's relationship with someone from the German Intelligence. Even if they are on the same side, their relationship will still get quite rocky.

Homeland Season 5 Premiere will be in the fall of 2015, according to Vanityfair.com.

Danes said, it would be interesting to see Carrie as a full time mother, having a relationship to a German Intelligence personnel, and having real friends. To see Carrie normal and social is definitely a sight to see.

After two years, they have both moved on to their separate ways. But every time they cross paths, there is always something awkward in the air. This is another part of the Homeland Season 5 that will invite fans to watch.
