Deadpool is something of a miracle to a lot of Marvel movie (and comic) fans. The only other time the character's been realized on screen was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a film that was despised for oh so many reasons, but primarily because it turned the sassy, wisecracking Merc with a Mouth Deadpool and transformed him into a scarred-up monster with laser eyes. Not even close to how he's portrayed in the comics (also, his nickname is "the Merc with a Mouth," yet his mouth was sewn shut in the film...).

Now, Ryan Reynolds is getting another shot to do the character right and fans are getting a chance to actually see the real Deadpool in a feature film. But with a character so well-known for being a smart mouth, will the upcoming Deadpool film include any references to the X-Men Origins version of the character?

A recent fan video shows the two version of the character engaged in battle, so clearly there'd be interest among the fanbase for seeing the new Deadpool pick apart the Origins version. As well, it's been rumored that the leaked script for next year's Deadpool contained a tease or two about the X-Men Origins version. Do you think it'll happen? Presumably, as the film gets closer to release we'll know more.

TJ Miller, who co-stars in the film as Deadpool's friend/sidekick Weasel, recently appeared on Conan to plug the film, but given Marvel's officlal stance on not revealing secrets in advance, Miller had to tread lightly around any and all Deadpool details. So here's what he said:

"Oh, yeah. The great thing about this film is there are a lot of stunts, but then there aren't any stunts. People say, 'T.J., do you do your own stunts?' Yeah, some parts of the movie, I might have stunts, and some parts of the movie I may not have stunts. At one point, I just walk across the street. That's all me, Conan."

Cheeky. One day we'll know more about Deadpool than what Miller teasingly offers (which is nothing), but it won't be today. Deadpool will premiere in theaters on February 12, 2016.
