Star Wars: The Force Awakens is on everyone's mind right now, considering that the film is just a few months away and that rumors of a new trailer have been spreading across the Internet like wildfire. But in all that Episode VII hype, a few new pieces of information about Episode VIII have already come online.

For one, there's talk of Episode VIII being released in IMAXcd for the next film's premiere. But there's also Oscar Isaac, who'll be starring in the movie as Poe Dameron, a (presumed) X-Wing fighter pilot and (presumed) hero character. Although we don't actually know anything solid about the movie, so who knows?

Isaac recently spoke to Vulture about his upcoming film with his Star Wars co-star Domnhall Gleeson, Ex Machina, but the conversation eventually switched over the the next installment in the Star Wars film franchise. When asked about the incredibly high levels of secrecy from director J.J. Abrams, here's what Isaac had to say:

"With bigger movies like this, there are so many moving parts, so many marketing ideas, that they obviously don't want those things preempted by someone speaking out of turn and saying something they shouldn't have. People are so hungry for information and content that it's just easier when you don't tell people that much. Even something small you might say could get misconstrued! For example, someone asked me if I was interested in working with Rian Johnson, who's directing the next Star Wars movie, and I said, "Sure, I'd like to work with him" ... and then people reported that I'll be in that movie. And I have no idea! I don't even know if I'm gonna be in this one. All I know is that I'm in the trailer."

So according to Isaac, he's not in Episode VIII. Or, at least, not according to him. He could be in the movie and J.J. Abrams just hasn't told him yet. Here's what Isaac does know, however- the entire plot of the movie, since the first moment he was considered for the film:

"I knew that in my first talk with J.J., actually. He basically told me the whole thing, the whole story. It was incredibly exciting just to be called in and told that. It was awesome."

So if you're going to pester Isaac about something, it should probably be the most recent film in the Star Wars franchise. And not any of the later ones.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens premieres in theaters on December 18, 2015.
