5 Seconds of Summer is swiftly becoming one of the most sought-after and hottest bands of today. The band had just wrapped up a series of successful concerts in Tokyo, Japan as part of their tour. And because they have gathered quite a lot of lady fans waiting in line, reports have been circling whether the lead vocalist, Luke Hemmings, is looking for a girlfriend.

The 18 year-old front man of 5 Seconds of Summer is reportedly single. Just a few months ago, Luke and band mate Michael Clifford claimed to have been conforming to a ‘no girlfriend policy.’ Despite this however, Luke Hemmings was generous enough to let fans have a little gauge of what he looks for in a girl.

The young singer-songwriter told Seventeen Magazine: "[I want] a girl with a good sense of humour who doesn't take herself seriously. Australians are naturally sarcastic. Witty jokes work well on me."

Despite his claims of being single, Hemmings have been previously linked with the Boyce Avenue protégé Bea Miller, “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress Selena Gomez, Chrissy Constanza and Aleisha McDonald.

Just this past Christmas, the singer who rose to fame through YouTube, was reported to have spent his holidays with a rumored girlfriend in Australia. According to one source, the singer said that: “I’ll be in underpants and nothing else, because I’ll be at home.”

It is still pretty vague whether Luke Hemmings will be having a girlfriend really soon, but it is not such a bad news for most of 5SOS’ lady fans. After all, Luke had been apparently occupied with all the success and further demands of their growing fame.

The band told a magazine during their time in Japan: “This is such an exciting time I can’t believe we are actually in Tokyo, Japan, and we are playing a headline show and GAH.” The boys had also just released their newest live album in early December of 2014.
