First time in the history of Tomb Raider that Lara Croft's apartment in London will be opened to interested players, plus a tease of her colossal mansion. Day and night system, dynamic weather, the protagonist's swimming and diving skills that might open to new adventure missions, new weapons and unchartered boundaries will add for a more exciting gameplay experience.

The privilege, however, to see Croft's new living quarters may only come out to Xbox One and Xbox 360 where Tomb Raider series has been exclusive. This news still is unconfirmed by Crystal Dynamics.

Hints came out after Rise of the Tomb Raider art director Brian Horton recently dished the game's mechanics with Game Informer in an online podcast. Horton revealed Croft's London apartment's concept art of the action-playing video game. According to the director, Croft has got shelve of books or two and supplies around her house that she needs when doing researches.

Although the mansion thing, Horton did not spill too much information other than the possibility of featuring it in the next installment. The mansion was removed from the previous game after rants. In this chapter, the game will go back to the history behind the mansion and how Croft acquired it.

Meanwhile, Croft is teased to go beyond unchartered boundaries that makes a double notch level of difficulty of her adventure. Challenges along the way include obstacles in the terrains in a cold Siberian wilderness.

According to a review, the new Tomb Raider series will exude intense filmic sequence, cutting between direct control and cinematic approach. With the day and night system and dynamic weather conditions, Croft will have to survive amidst the vicious animals by killing them. On top of it all, a full-blown avalanche in the final episode will shake fans.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is expected to continue the previous chapter where Lara suffered depression and trauma as she struggled to delve for immortality artifacts secretly located in the city of Kitezh in Russia.

While mainstays bow and arrow and a large quiver are still present, Crystal Dynamics has revealed additional ammunition sacks of handguns, shotguns and rifles will appear in the course of the game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will arrive on Xbox One and Xbox 360 during the holiday 2015, followed by PlayStation 4 and PC later on.

Since Siberia will require the player to cover ground on mountainous terrain, equipment such as the axe and karabiner will also be included in the title. The aforementioned equipment will also provide assistance in solving puzzles, which are expected to be far more challenging compared to what players experienced in the 2013 game. A tactical knife and sheath have been added for melee combat as well as getting around the environment stealthily, which will be a necessary tactic when a direct approach will result in a quick death of the character.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" will have its core plot revolving around Lara Croft and Jonah Maiava as they discover an ancient city built by the Grand Prince of Vladimir in the 13th century. If Jonah has an ulterior motive for accompanying Lara in the perilous expedition, it has not been stated yet. The title is expected to be released during the holiday season and will be a timed exclusive. The title will be released for the Xbox One platform and will be making its way to the Microsoft Windows and PS4 platform shortly afterwards.
