The iPad Mini had its share of admirers and vicious critics; but Apple is not giving up. After the company introduced iPhone 6 and 6 Plus last year and unveiled Apple Watch to the public; speculations on how the company revamps iPad Mini heats up.

In a recent report, MacOtaka says Apple is about to reveal exciting upgrades with iPad Mini, though they are not specific as to the exact release time frame; in fact, MacOtaka is doubtful if Apple will release fresh updates for iPad Mini considering the scarce sources about this project. However, a few are still hopeful that Spring Forward formally introduces Apple's plans for iPad mini.

As Apple remains silent, speculations take a new turn and highlight the urgent need for an iPad Mini overhaul. Critics stress that the mistakes Apple made with iPad Mini 2 was slightly corrected with the release of Mini 3 and its Touch ID feature. Mini sells at a hundred dollar more than Mini 2, in effect; Mini 3 became one of Apple's disappointments.

Current rumours on Apple iPad Mini 4 underline that the device runs with a faster and a more powerful CPU, A8. Along with this major change, it is expected that enhancement to 802.11ac Wifi chip is imminent for an ultrafast connection.

Less information can be gathered as to the product's design; and the same source points that Apple is unlikely to experiment on a new product design for the new iPad Mini 4. This means, we will be expecting Mini 4 to be the same old classic style made more powerful.

Admittedly, iPad Mini 4 remains a rumor. There is either obvious lack of confirmation from Apple or absence of any tease from the company's executives to make us think something is looming. Nonetheless, it is apparent that Mini fans worldwide are eager to hear updates of this long overdue revamp.
