The iPhone 6 continues to draw more attention as the release date approaches. According to reports, the iPhone 6 offers excellent potential for Apple especially with its large screen form factor. Many analysts and industry experts remain convinced that the phablet edition of the iPhone 6 will gain great sales especially from those using older versions of the iPhone.

According to a chart created by Morgan Stanley, users of old iPhone versions like iPhone 4 and 4s account for more than 50% of iPhone users in the United States. More than half of AT&T owners also follow a similar trend. This means more than half of iPhone users in the United States may choose to replace their handsets with the upcoming iPhone 6.

According to industry experts and analysts, the large screen of the iPhone 6 may be enough factor for people to consider iPhone replacement. The phablet design can generate more interest for Apple. It also promises a new user experience - different from the small screen experience found in the iPhone 4 and other similar iPhone models.

Business Insider noted that the iPhone product proves to be more valuable than most of Apple's offerings because it makes up around 60% of the company's total sales. Despite news about the release of the Apple TV and the iWatch, analysts and investors remain more concerned about the handset.

Investors and analysts remained optimistic about the company despite the lackluster performance of the iPad in the previous quarter. Numbers of iPhone remained strong assuring that Apple is still a company to watch out for. This may carry on until the iPhone 6's release. According to a recent report by Reuters, Apple may release the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 around August based from information from Apple's Taiwan supply chain. The 5.5 or 5.6-inch iPhone 6 phablet may hit stores around September. Apple has not made any official announcements yet.
