Five companies from India are interested in making an investment in the Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority and Freeport (ZamboEcozone), according to MindaNews.

ZamboEcozone chairmain Christopher Lawrence Arnuco said the potential investors attended the recently help business forum in Makati City which was sponsored by ZamboEcozone. They were among the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) delegates, the report explained.

The Indian firms are seafarer services provider Jobships.com, agricultural consulting Ozzy Business Consulting Ltd, educational firms Ivory Education and International Professional Financial Careers Academy, and clothing firm Huechem Textiles, the report detailed.

According to Arnuco, the forum's goal was to promote the Zamboanga Peninsula and show the economic growth in the region, the report added. Regional Director Susan Valerio said the peninsula was the region in the Philippines with the fastest growth last year. Its Regional Gross Domestic Product achieved a 12.4% increase in 2013 alone, the report stated.

The Indian delegation was presided over by Kapil Rampal of Ivory Education and FICCI deputy director Santosh Nautiyal, MindaNews reported.
