Singapore's DDB Group Asia Pacific acquires 22feet to help develop India's digital marketing solutions sector

As part of its goal to become the leader in the development of India's digital marketing solutions sector, DDB Group Asia Pacific has purchased Indian marketing firm 22feet, according to Marketing Interactive. The financial terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed in the said report.

According to DDB, 22feet is among the most dynamic firms of its kind in India. Upon completion of the deal, 22feet will be integrated into Tribal Worldwide India to form a new company called 22feet Tribal Worldwide. The new entity will become part of the DDB Mudra Group, the report detailed.

The new company formed from the deal will be immediately headed by managing director Vineet Gupta. Brijesh Jacob will be 22feet Tribal Worldwide's joint managing director, while Deepak Nair will be the chief operating officer, the report stated.

DDB chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said of the strategic deal: "DDB Group has accelerated its capabilities to offer clients the best-in-class local digital expertise at 22feet, coupled with best-in-class global knowledge of the Tribal Worldwide network. I believe this is a game-changing event for DDB Mudra Group in India," he said via a statement.

Among 22feet's most prominent clients are Fastrack, Heineken, Red Bull, Axe, and Kingfisher, Marketing Interactive reported.
