Another effort to help Long Island startups grow has been launched by LaunchPad. The company opened another co-working space, LaunchPad Huntington, on Wednesday, according to Newsday.

The said space will put up desks and offices for local startups to rent. The initiative aims to build an entrepreneurial working environment that can foster collaboration and creativity among startups. The space in Huntington is part of the LaunchPad Long Island in Mineola, which was launched last year, the report detailed.

Tyler Roye is backing the Suffolk LaunchPad. He has also moved his own startup eGifter into one of the spaces. eGifter provides a mobile platform for selling, buying, and sending electronic gift cards, the report explained.

According to Roye, he wants the startups to stay between six and 12 months and then expand into their own office spaces nearby. Companies interested in securing a space can apply via LaunchPad's website. Each desk can be rented for at least $299 per month, Newsday reported.
