WePopp, a social planning app based in Paris, France, announced that it has successfully raised EUR 130,000 from a small group of France-based angel investors.

WePopp helps users plan anything with friends with only a few clicks. It has a poll system to get everyone's opinion on the fly to find a venue, or to simply get a finalized time and date for a party. It streamlines planning that it saves organizers a lot of time instead of going through 50+ messages via text or email to each other and getting different views. One of the highlights behind organizing via WePopp is that even if one is not a user or if a user does not have a smartphone, the user would still be included in the planning. The app sends out SMS to notify marked contacts who are part of the planning.

Before the seed round, WePopp had been bootstrapped and was given EUR 4,500 by Google for successfully going through a French accelerator called Le Camping.

According to TechCrunch, the funds secured would be used to "growth-hack" its way to hundreds of thousands of users from a modest user base of 15,000 it claimed since launching via iOS in August, and before adding Android support the following month.
