The new flagship smartphone was recently unveiled by Blackberry Ltd. The new Z30 was launched to do battle and win back market share even if a cloud of uncertainty surrounds the future of the smartphone manufacturer.

Blackberry was once the trailblazer in the smartphone industry, the firm announced last month it would be weighing its available options for the company, including an outright sale. This comes as the company experience the timid reception by the market of its new devices that run on its Blackberry 10 operating system.

The Z30 device was to be unveiled to the public for the first time at an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The device would be its flagship model and would be the top model replacing the Z10 that was introduced to the market last year.

The Z30 is a touchscreen device with a five inch screen display with a 1.7 GhZ processor. It would compete with other smartphones such as Apple's iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S4 as well as other devices running on Google Inc's Android operating system.
