JP Morgan Chase & Co securities and industry banker William Cruger resigned from the firm according to a reliable source.

Cruger had not made his resignation public, according to the same source. However, in the website of The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc, Cruger's name was no longer connected with the JP Morgan. The information on Cruger in the said website only indicated that he was employed by the New York-based firm since 1997.

William Cruger is best known as the adviser for Raymond James Financial Inc in their USD 930 million-acquisition of Morgan Keegan & Co from Regions Financial Corp in 2012.  Cruger's departure from JPMorgan came after his colleague, Joseph Molluso's recent resignation. Molluso had since moved on to work for Virtu Financial LLC, an electronic trading firm, said the source.

JP Morgan's spokesman Justin Perras refused to comment on the issue. On the other hand, Cruger, Molluso and Virtu Financial's officials couldn't be reached for a statement on the matter.
