As speculations of users abandoning Facebook are widely reported, this teen apparently forgot the memo. According to the Swedish newspaper The Local, a Gotland District Court Judge ruled to convict an 18 year old male for sending a friend request in social networking site Facebook.

Sweden's national radio broadcaster Sveriges Radio reported the court in Baltic island of Gotland decided that the friend request of the teen violated the restraining order filed against him. In addition to the teen's attempt to make contact through the social network, he was also accused of bumping with the person at the local street market. However, the reports did not specify if the run-in was accidental or intentional. The teen's violation handed him a suspended sentence along with a 30 days' worth of penalty.

During this year's second quarter, Facebook reported a 19 US cents earnings per share. Its total revenue was USD1.81 billion. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company's mission was to reach 5 billion people after reporting 45 million active users per month. Zuckerberg added 700 million people worldwide uses Facebook each day. Also, he said he has done a research to end the speculations that the teens were abandoning the social network. "That just isn't true," Zuckerberg said.
