Joe Biden Threatens Halting Weapons Sales To Israel If It Invades Rafah

The Guardian reported that Joe Biden issued a warning to the Israeli government, saying that the Biden Administration is ready to halt weapons sales if IDF invades Rafah. But, he clarified that Israeli forces aren't in Rafah yet.

"I made it clear that if they go into Rafah - they haven't gone in Rafah yet - if they go into Rafah," said POTUS during a television interview.

The American president said that he would not be supplying weapons that would be remembered historically as weapons used for the invasion of Rafah. He made these statements to clarify that his administration is not supporting the possible ground offensive in Rafah.

If ever the Israeli forces invaded Rafah and the U.S. pulled out its arms supplies, it could mark the start of a turning point in the relationship between the two power nations.

Israel's Military Presence Expands in Rafah

According to CNN, IDF forces are expanding in Rafah. Israel's attacks in the southern Gaza city have transitioned from airstrikes to ground operations.

This alarming detail was confirmed after Planet Labs show acquired new satellite images showing the Israeli ground military operations.

As of writing, four individuals were already killed by the recent Israeli airstrikes, as confirmed by a local hospital in the city. But, the new satellite images suggested that these airstrikes are still continuing.

Right now, it is still unclear if the Israeli government will really invade the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
