A heartwarming incident involving a nine-year-old boy and a businessman occurred in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
After hastily leaving his house one morning when he heard a fire alarm, Matt Busbice, 42, found himself caught up in the incident.
After not finding any fire, he decided to take a break at a nearby coffee shop. He placed his order and went outside to do his morning prayer, as captured by security camera footage of the incident.
As he wrapped up his speech, Kelvin Ellis Jr., a curious nine-year-old, approached him with his hand extended, mistaking Busbice for a needy person.
Ellis Jr. reflected on the situation, mentioning his long-standing desire to help those experiencing homelessness. Meanwhile, Busbice said his faith in humanity had been lacking for quite some time.

In a show of gratitude, Busbice treated Ellis Jr. to breakfast and even bought his father a coffee. He also treated Ellis Jr. to a shopping spree at his sporting goods store, BuckFeather.
According to the report, he generously gave him 40 seconds to select any desired item. As per a report by WBRZ, Busbice has achieved millionaire status through his successful ventures in the outdoor industry, specifically in hunting-related businesses and brands.
"If you are generous, you will actually receive more in return," Busbice stated in an interview with CBS News.
Louisiana has seen significant fluctuations in the homeless population in recent years, possibly due to the profound effects of Hurricane Ida in 2021.
