A Filipino tattooed a local Takoyaki brand logo on his forehead hoping to win the cash prize promised by the company. Unfortunately, Taragis Ta-Q-Yaki's challenge was just an April Fools Day prank.
Now, netizens are outraged with the Takoyaki company, condemning it for fooling a Filipino who just wants to have extra cash.
Taragis Ta-Q-Yaki, a Filipino takoyaki company, posted a challenge on Apr. 1, saying that the person who tattoos their logo on their forehead will win 100,000 PHP (over $1,770).
In its post, the company placed an "April Fools" message at the bottom to clarify that the challenge was just a prank. But, a person took the bait and decided to tattoo the brand logo on his forehead.
The victim commented on the Taragis Ta-Q-Yaki's post, sharing a photo of himself with the logo inked on his forehead. He said that he sent a direct message to the company's page and will wait for the cash prize.

Instead of apologizing for the prank and giving compensation to the victim, Taragis Ta-Q-Yaki shared a Facebook post, saying that it's not liable for what happened.
"Let this serve as a reminder to us all how important reading comprehension is," said the Takoyaki brand.
"Once more, Taragis Takoyaki is not accountable for the events that occurred," it added.
Because of the Takoyaki company's post, many Filipino netizens were outraged. Many of them defended the victim, saying that not everyone knows what April Fools Day is.
Others said that taking advantage of people's naivety is totally unacceptable and unforgivable. They added that Taragis Ta-Q-Yaki should be held accountable for what happened.
Because of this issue, more and more Filipinos are now boycotting the takoyaki brand.
