SingularityNET (SNET), Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol, leaders in decentralized Artificial Intelligence (AI) networks, announced that they have joined forces to establish the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance.

This groundbreaking merger comes with a combined token value of USD 7.6 billion, the first stride toward the realization of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

The initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Ben Goertzel, Humayun Sheikh, and Trent McConaghy, pioneers in decentralized AI, aims to counter Big Tech's dominance in AI development. By consolidating the $FET, $OCEAN, and $AGIX tokens into a single $ASI token, the Alliance seeks to create an open, democratic, and decentralized AI network.

Dr. Goertzel, CEO and Founder of SNET, stressed the importance of democratizing AGI and ASI. "It is imperative that AGI and ASI are not owned and controlled by any particular party with their own biased interests."

He envisions a decentralized ecosystem shifting the center of gravity of the AI world away from centralized control.

Humayun Sheikh, CEO & Founder of Fetch.ai, echoes this sentiment. For Sheikh, there's a need for a more transparent and ethical AI ecosystem.

By merging platforms, the Alliance seeks to empower developers and users, bypassing traditional gatekeepers and enhancing data privacy.

Why Build Artificial Superintelligence Alliance?

The Artificial Superintelligence Alliance is not about creating a physical robot.

Instead, it aims to establish a collaborative network of decentralized Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems. This alliance seeks to advance research and development in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), which are highly advanced AI capable of performing tasks surpassing human capabilities.

AGI and ASI hold the potential to revolutionize various industries, including healthcare, finance, and transportation, by facilitating more efficient decision-making, problem-solving, and innovation.

Ultimately, the goal is to create a more democratic, transparent, and ethical AI ecosystem that benefits society as a whole.

Bruce Pon, CEO and co-founder of Ocean Protocol, applauds the combined technologies' transformative potential. He envisions a vertically integrated stack of decentralized technologies that can compete globally, underpinned by the unified $ASI token.

Pending community approval, the merger will entail rebranding $FET as $ASI, with a total token supply of $2.63055 billion. Additionally, $AGIX and $OCEAN tokens will migrate to $ASI at specified conversion rates.

Upon closing, a governing council led by Dr. Ben Goertzel, Humayun Sheikh, Bruce Pon, and Trent McConaghy will oversee the operations of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance. While the merging networks will continue to operate independently, they will collaborate closely within the shared $ASI tokenomic ecosystem.
