Mark Zuckerberg's upcoming Asia tour is poised to center around artificial intelligence (AI), spanning key destinations in Japan, South Korea, and India, where he aims to foster ties with regional business and government leaders while advancing AI initiatives within Meta Platforms.

"Mark is in Japan for a personal trip and will also meet with a few key partners while he is here," his spokesperson said.

According to Japan Times, Zuckerberg started his journey in Japan and will convene with Meta's developers in Tokyo. The agenda will be about the company's Quest virtual-reality headsets and its language model Llama, positioning Meta to compete with entities like OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Transitioning to Seoul, Zuckerberg's itinerary includes meetings with strategic partners, potentially including South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Y. Lee, signaling Meta's commitment to AI development and potential collaborations within the region.

While Samsung officials have yet to comment, local media reports suggest discussions may revolve around joint AI ventures and extended reality headset development with LG Electronics.

"As it's been reported, Mark is planning to visit Korea briefly for a few key partner meetings."

To conclude his tour, Zuckerberg will attend the pre-wedding celebrations of Mukesh Ambani's youngest son in Jamnagar, India, where luminaries from the realms of business, technology, and entertainment are expected to converge, underscoring Meta's engagement in diverse spheres across the Asian continent.
