Starts & Pause: Reason Why Women Go Through Menopause

Menopause, which means a stage where a woman's menstrual cycle and fertilization stops. This happens when your ovaries is not producing progesterone and estrogens which are needed for fertility. This also happen when your period stops for 1 year. But why does Menopause really exist?

Some people believe that this frees older women from hormonal upset and childrearing, so they could pitch in and look after their grandchildren.

Menopause naturally happens with age. But it can also stem from surgery, treatment of a disease or an illness. In this case it is called surgical menopause or also known as premature ovarian failure.

When does really menopause starts? Well it starts around age 51 the natural way, but it can also happen before you turn 40. This is called premature menopause.

Some women starts their menopause stage on an early. And according to Schmidt, it is because of the radiation to the pelvis which can damage your ovaries and affect estrogen production. It is also because of the number of pregnancies you've had and what type of birth control you use.

There are symptoms of going through a menopause stage. These are mood swings, lower sex drive, hot flashes, sweat, racing heart, headache, vaginal dryness and soreness, painful sex and trouble sleeping.

There are also some stages that you will undergo when you reached menopause period.

One is PERIMENOPAUSE. This is when your cycle will become irregular, but they haven't stopped. Most women hit this stage at age 47.

Second is MENOPAUSE. This is when you'll have your final menstrual period. And lastly the POSTMENOPAUSE. This happens when you hit the year mark from your final period.

There are also health risks when you hit your menopause period and one of this breast cancer. So it is better for you to go and have a breast cancer screenings.

Every women have their own unique biological clock, and it will determine when you start to have symptoms of menopause. Better talk to your doctor if have any concerns but don't worry about when it will happen.
