Less than couple of weeks after threatening Amazon, NJ Mayor has abandoned the plan to file a lawsuit against the retail giant. Earlier this month, Dave Fried, the Robbinsville Township Mayor had threatened to sue Amazon once a senior company official failed to show at a crucial meeting on Wednesday. The meeting was arranged to discuss the hefty traffic generated by Amazon's fulfillment center.

Earlier NJ mayor accused Amazon saying that his small town cannot deal with the surging business of the company. According to the CNBC report, Mayor Fried stated on 'Fast Money' that they will never want the warehouse to shut down before the Christmas, especially a warehouse which is big and an important center. He also specified that public safety should be the first priority anyway.

Dave Fried, the small town New Jersey Mayor has now suddenly backed off from his decision. His small town is actually home to one of the significant and largest distribution centers with advanced facilities. Furthermore, in order to ease congestion, Amazon has sent a letter to the NJ Mayor along with a traffic mitigation plan.

According to the NJ 1015 news, Amazon spokesman Aaron Toso wrote in an email that "we are proud of creating more than 4,000 regular, full-time jobs here in the Robbinsville community. Given the seasonal peaks of our business we have added an additional couple thousand more seasonal employees and we realize that this has created localized traffic issues."

Amazon expressed their views on this note saying that they are proud to act like a catalyst in economic growth. The company also said that they will take pride by being good neighbors and they will implement their holiday staffing plan as early as possible.

Now, their holiday staffing plan seems to be working. As per the NJ.com report, some clever maneuvering by Amazon seems to have soothed the township's ruffled feathers - and kept the matter out of court.

NJ Mayor specially explained to news reporter why he is dumping the decision to sue Amazon. After getting some very good feedbacks from Robbinsville residents and tenants, NJ Mayor thinks that they are on the road to recovery. The Mayor also mentioned that he will be attending a meeting with Amazon executives soon to discuss some permanent infrastructure alterations as an additional help.
