Peter Capaldi, the 12th and most recent Doctor suggests a crossover with the hit fantasy series, "Game of Thrones." He and Jenna Coleman, who plays The Doctor's companion, Clara, expressed this interest at the recent "Doctor Who" Festival in UK. Meanwhile, GoT star Natalie Dormer was recently considered playing the first ever female Doctor Who.

WinterIsComing writes that it will never work unless the TARDIS lands on the "Game of Thrones" set confusing The Doctor as to where he really is - in Westeros or Northern Ireland. The finale for "Doctor Who" this season is going to be bigger, and one of the reasons is because they have to compete with the HBO fantasy drama. Peter Capaldi shares in an interview that the whole episode will be really huge with a mix of sadness, romance and tragedy. He also shares that he loved one particular set which he described as very modern with a "Kubrick-y kind of vibe." It's going to be an exciting finale as they will be in a very interesting place.

GoT star Maisie Williams, who appeared in two "Doctor Who" episodes this season will be returning for an encore performance in "Face the Raven." Fans quip that at least this time she'll be bringing the ravens from Westeros with her. In this next episode, The Doctor and Clara, find themselves in a magical alien world, hidden on a street in the heart of London. This time, they will be accompanied by their old friend, Rigsy. Inside the alien realm are some of the most fearsome creatures of the universe, where they will meet Ashildr (Maisie Williams) again. Within the dangerous world, death threatens their existence and not all of them will get out alive.

In other news, Natalie Dormer who is known for her role as Margaery Tyrell in "Game of Thrones," says that she would consider playing the first ever female Doctor Who if the script was right. She says that she would do any role if the writing is fantastic, because the most important thing for her is the story. "It's always the script," she says. The 33-year old actress continues, "It has to be real human beings, contradictory, flawed, complex multidimensional characters... It can't be just concept."

Natalie is currently promoting Part Two of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" where she plays the rebel, Cressida beside Jennifer Lawrence's role.

Do you think a "Doctor Who" - "Game of Thrones" crossover will be likely to happen? And what do you think about Natalie Dormer playing the first ever female Doctor? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
