Although its third instalment has just been released a couple of days ago, it has already been confirmed that Sharknado 4 is already in the works and it's not just that, as fans now have  the power to determine the fate of Tara Reid's character, April.

Sharknado 3 has brought laughs to a lot of people, however, an unexpected ending has confronted fans. According to MNR Daily, in the previous film's last scene, a part of a space shuttle was scene approaching April's direction. The screen later blacked out leaving a cliff hanger for the fans that will be continued in the fourth installment.

In order to cast their vote about April's fate, fans can now vote in Sharknado's official Twitter page. Aside from that, fans who do not have Twitter accounts may also vote in SyFy.com.

According to Tara Reid, who plays the character of April in the instalment, the sequels for the franchise was not something she expected.  "I didn't think there would be a second, and now we're up to a trilogy. All the time, I'm thinking, 'How am I going to pull this off? How am I going to say this dialogue? You've got to be kidding me,'" she said.

According to Ledger Gazette, the movie's director, Anthony C. Ferrante is reportedly planning to expand the setting of the film, into a bigger scale.

The Weekly Whip also quoted Ferrante saying, "I want to do international. There are still U.S. cities that I want to destroy. But it's less about the cities, and it's more about, what are we going to do with Ian and Tara, and what genres do we want to play with?"

The director is also reportedly eyeing on getting actor Bill Murray to appear in the sequel, although, he also revealed that they currently don't have enough budget for it. "We wanted Bill Murray in this one and I knew the reality of it.Remember when Lorne Michaels begged the Beatles to come on 'SNL' in the 1970s and he offered like $10,000?

If Bill Murray came to the set, I'd give him a Fig Newton bar because that's all we have - and maybe a beer - and we'll have fun," he said. Although Murray's appearance sure does sound interesting, the report also stated that it is also unlikely.

Most of the characters from the previous film is expected to return in the upcoming movie, Sharknado 4, expected to hit theaters in July 2016.
