In "Wayward Pines" season 1 episode 7 titled, "Betrayal," Ethan's life will be endangered after learning that the people of the mystic town of Idaho are not worthy to be trusted. The more Ethan and his family discover something about the town, the harder it gets for them to handle the truth.

After learning the truth about Wayward Pines, Ethan Burke, played by Matt Dillon, got a ticket to a dangerous life.

In the next episode of "Wayward Pines," the special agent and now sheriff of the town will find a bomb planted inside his car. This will have him doubting the people of the town even the ones he already trusts, reports The Futon Critic.

Kate (Carla Gugino) and Harold (Reed Diamond) will visit Nurse Pam (Melissa Leo) for a fertility consultation while the relationship of Ben (Charlie Tahan) and Amy (guest star Sarah Jeffery) goes to the next level.

"Betrayal" will follow "Choices," the episode where Matt Dillon's Ethan meets the Abbies in flesh following his tour around the facility that manages the town's operation from which he learns more about the Wayward Pines's history. David shows Ethan a room filled with people sleeping in a capsule that explains how the humans were able to survive for 2000 years, recaps the Movie News Guide.

In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Chad Hodge discussed that he inserted some modifications on the series that is based on the novels of Blake Crouch. He revealed that the First Generation is something he created for the "Wayward Pines" television adaptation since he believes that the last of humanity is going to be these kids.

Hodge also assured that there will be no cliffhangers in the series finale as their team really intended to incorporate the book trilogy in one season. When asked if a second season is well underway for Fox's thriller drama, Hodge admits that there is a possibility to that but he is adamant to finish the story of the novel in season 1.

"Could there be a possibility of a Season 2? Sure, of course, and you'll see a window to that, but it also is a complete ending as it is," said the showrunner.

Ethan Burke will be in more dangerous path as his discovery about Idaho's strange town deepens. "Wayward Pines" season 1 episode 7 titled, "Betrayal" will make him think whether he can really trust the people of the town or not. The new episode airs July 2 on Fox.
