"Bates Motel" season 4 will not be walking around the egg shells anymore. After the events in the season 3 finale, the next season's agenda became very clear and that is to dive deeper into the darkness of Norman's character. With Norman going full-blown psycho and Romero becoming a killer for Norma, it seems Dylan and Emma's affair is the only good thing that will happen next season.

Fans of A&E's popular drama thriller will see a lot of cross-dressing by Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates (unconsciously) embraces his craziness on "Bates Motel" season 4. Executive producer Carlton Cuse said that the season 3 finale opened the doors for a new version of Norman to take center stage in the new season, reports Design and Trend.

"At the end of the third season of the show, he really becomes unhinged in a different way he had before," said Cuse. "That really sets up a different version of the Norman that we know from the movie."

Cuse also teased that Norman will be unleashed in the upcoming season but Vera Farmiga's Norma will be trying her best to stop that from happening.

Executive Producer Kerry Ehrin said that the diehards will once again see Pineview sanitarium the new season of A&E's hit series as Norma is hell-bent to help Norman not to further go downward spiral, as per Yahoo New's reports. She will be dealing with this while also handling a complicated relationship with Sheriff Romero.

With all that heavy plotlines, it's fair to say that Daryl and Emma's romantic affair will be the only good and normal thing that will happen in "Bates Motel" season 4. After the two shared a very passionate kiss last season, they agreed that Emma will undergo the lung transplant to cure her illness. The surgery could however, go wrong so Dylemma shippers still has to wait and see what will happen in the lovebirds next season.

"Bates Motel" season 4 takes a giant step closer to the Alfred Hitchcock's classic "Psycho" as Freddie Highmore's Norman embraces his new personality. Norma however, will do anything to stop that from happening while the Dylan and Emma affair spread some lighter tone to balance out the heavy storylines on the next season.
