It's a very good time to be a Star Wars fan. It's just been revealed that the second Star Wars Anthology films is going to be a Boba Fett origin story, and we already knew that the first will be Rogue One, directed by Gareth Edwards and following a raid to steal the plans for the Death Star, before the events of the original Star Wars: A New Hope.

But could there be a third Star Wars Anthology film? There were several previous plot rumors, back when the Anthology firms were first revealed and we didn't know the stories for either. A Boba Fett origin story was rumored, as were origin stories for Yoda and Han Solo. It may still be possible that Lucasfilm might want to make either of these films- could one of them become another Star Wars Anthology?

Considering how detailed the young Harrison Ford rumors were, it might be likely. The rumors pegged the film as set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, detailing how Han Solo goes from an unknown in space to a legendary smuggler with his pal Chewie and the Millenium Falcon. Considering that Han Solo was one of the few elements of the Star Wars prequel trilogy that wasn't given some kind of origin story, you'd think that it would be a priority for Lucasfilm.

However, it's also possible that this Han Solo origin could be a part of Rogue One. As has already been revealed, Rogue One is, too, set between Revenge of the Sith and a New Hope, and Rogue One is also about a band of roguish characters (which would perfectly describe Han Solo).

Josh Trank was originally set to direct the second Anthology film, but issues behind the scenes have caused Disney and Lucasfilm to search for a new director. Rogue One will premiere on December 16, 2016, with the second Anthology film likely premiering in late 2018.
